Recognizing that traditional sports like hockey were not possible, he took up arm wrestling and soon realized that his fierce determination and the right side of his body was built to excel in this sport!

Dausen was raised on a farm near Fort Assiniboine Alberta with his parents David and Carol Kluin, and he currently resides in Barrhead Alberta. He has three older siblings Jessica (sister) & Joe (her husband), Dylan , Sarah; Curtis & Lisa (wife) plus their 2 children Leah & Corbin; Josh (brother). As well as his family, his girlfriend Xayna has been a tremendous support.

They all have had a positive influence on his life and have encouraged him to live out his dreams.

He graduated from the Fort Assiniboine High School June, 2011. He completed his Marketing Diploma at N.A.I.T. He is currently working as a support worker with Blue Heron Support Services Association where he provides social interaction for people in long-term care. He is an active member of his community, notably with the Camp Creek 4-H Beef Club. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys horseback riding, hunting, quadding, skiing, baseball, but is most proud of his accomplishments with his Professional Arm Wrestling.

Dausen has attended the Worlds in Armwrestling two times already at his young age. He attended Kelowna Worlds in 2008, placing 5th in the World in his category. Traveling to Las Vagas in December 2010, he placed 6th in the Disabled and 7th in the Youth Category. He is currently training for the 2015 Arm Wrestling World Championships in the U.S.A.

It’s this spirit and determination in Dausen that has given him the power and the courage to share his story with others.
